COMUZI is a design and technology studio based in London. Using their structured approach ‘radical creativity as a service’ to innovation, they explore, imagine, prototype and invent radical products, services and experiences that connect with the community. Delivered by an unconventional team of strategists, researchers, designers and technologists, they embrace the challenge of unpredictable futures.
This masterclass will give you an overview of COMUZI’s work and include an introduction to their creative process. In this session, you will be discussing the importance of storytelling, co-creating with communities, and practical tips for working on creative projects.
Facilitator BioSafiya McKenzie is a documentary photographer and designer at COMUZI. In her practice, she mainly focuses on how design can be approached from a holistic perspective, and how technology can be positioned as a tool for autonomy rather than a replacement for human connection. She is currently researching themes around algorithmic bias, communal dreaming, and ‘cancel culture’, for a narrative-based project with the Omidyar Network.
