The Theology and Religious studies department reflects a wide range of approaches to the study of religion across all parts of the world. It offers insights that are anthropological, cultural, historical, political, philosophical, sociological, textual, and theological. There is a particular focus on the three 'Abrahamic' religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and their interaction. Also on offer are a range of modules on Buddhism and courses focusing on the anthropology and sociology of religion, including degree programs focusing on religion, politics, philosophy and society.
