Abstract: 'Who gets to do research? Equity in STEMM viewed through a funding lens'
On International Women’s Day, Professor Rachel Oliver Professor Rachel Oliver, University of Cambridge, discussed her research revealing the shocking data on research funding inequality. She outlined her recommendations for how we tackle these inequities, calling for greater analysis of diversity in grant funding. Recognising and taking responsibility for addressing the inequities in our current systems has the potential to benefit all scientists, as well as broader society.
The talk was followed by a panel discussion including:
