King’s Legal Clinic (‘the
Clinic’) aims to provide law students with experiential learning opportunities aimed at enhancing their legal knowledge and skills, whilst also enabling students to serve their community and promote access to justice. The pandemic has created challenges in the delivery of the Clinic’s services both for clients and students. The talk will explore how the Clinic has overcome those challenges.
There will be a particular
focus on how pedagogic components of Clinical legal education,
including reflective practice, active learning, communities of practice and collaboration have enabled students to have a positive learning experience and fostered a
sense of community and belonging in difficult times.
