Taught jointly between King's College London and Shakespeare's Globe, the MA in Shakespeare Studies offers you the opportunity to study the plays of Shakespeare and his contemporaries in their critical, textual and theatrical contexts. You'll examine the texts, companies and repertoires of London theatres between 1590-1640, and explore their buildings and urban locations. And not only will you draw on the literary expertise of a world-class university, but you'll do so within the architecture for which Shakespeare wrote, only metres from where his plays were originally performed. There are full and part-time study options available, and applications are invited from those with practical theatrical, as well as academic, experience of early modern plays.
